Wish List
Update 6/17/09: I am revamping my wish list again! The generosity of my friends and family never ceases to amaze me. As I am exhausting my supplies of toiletries from the US, I’ve discovered that I have a fairly good selection of replacements at the supermarket in Mombasa and Nairobi…and they are cheaper here than having them shipped from America. Here are the things I still enjoy receiving. Books and candy/food items are definitely favorites.
***Please see my Contact page for mailing instructions.***
For Me:
- Back issues of Business Week, The Economist, Wall Street Journal, HOG Tales, or even those trashy magazines with the latest celebrity faux pas plastered on the covers
- Balance Bars, Luna Bars, or similar meal replacement bars
- Protein bars / protein powder
- Non-perishable snack items (dried fruit, spice packets, cookies, crackers, etc.)
- Just-add-water food items of all types
- Beef Jerky
- Parmesan cheese
- Candies: Oreos, Orange Slices & M&Ms are my favorite, but I like all sorts
- Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (the “Deluxe” kind with the gooey cheese packets that don’t require me adding butter or water)
- AA and AAA Batteries <<<---needing these soon!
- Books! New or used, I don’t care! Check out my Amazon Wish List for ideas. Just type in my e-mail address: harmony@kenyarising.com. Or surprise me!
For The Kids:
If you’d like to send small gifts/toys for the children at the post where I serve, these are some items that are very appreciated:
- Frisbees
- Hacky sacks
- Jump ropes
- Bubbles
- Paper
- Children’s books
- Coloring books
- Color pencils, markers, crayons, small pencil sharpeners, notebooks, stickers, etc.
